Long before Corey started playing guitar he was being introduced to many musical influences. His father had played guitar since high school and there was always music being played around the house. It was not unusual for Corey to wake to the sounds of Johnny Winter or The Allman Brothers Band.

Corey’s uncle also played bass guitar and while growing up there was always a weekend jam with musicians from around town stopping by to sit in. Corey played with many bands at the various bars & clubs in Gainesville and around north Florida. Going to the jam nights & shows in Gainesville allowed Corey to meet & play with many different styles of players like Sister Hazel, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet, Derek Trucks & Warren Haynes.

At the age of 24 Corey moved to Miami to study Maya (the computer animation software used by Pixar, ILM, Dreamworks). Corey studied Maya & played in a band in Miami over the next two years before joining Baga Tricks in the winter of 2004.
